NEW IN 2011! We are now offering approved clients the ability to pay on a cost per lead (CPL) basis for a technology offer lead generation program. Through our partnership with leading information technology publishers, we are able to guarantee a set number of leads.

A standard lead will include:

  • e-mail address
  • first name
  • last name
  • job title
  • company
  • business address
  • phone #

Once submitted to you on a weekly basis, the lead will be owned by you (the advertiser) for follow-up as you wish, via email, postal or phone contact.

How is a cost per lead (CPL) program different than a regular one time e-mail list rental CPM (cost per thousand) program?

With the standard e-mail list rental program, you may pay slightly less for a minimum mailing, but have no guarantee on the lead results. With a CPM program, you do get full control of creative and targeting. However, with a CPL program, we manage the creative and targeting and online marketing, since we are taking on the risk of ensuring response is sufficient to meet your lead quota required.

What will a minimum test cost me?

A minimum cost per lead (CPL) test will cost $3,000 US prepaid prior to the start of the program. The price per lead will vary by your offer, and how much data you require. It will also vary by the asset that you are sending us to promote your offer. On average, we typically will price leads from $40 to $75 per lead depending on your industry, competitiveness and uniqueness of your offer, the nature of the asset, as well as data required.

What kinds of assets can I give you?

The best assets you can provide are any of the following, ideally unique to this promotion;

  • a white paper relating to solving a specific industry problem (not too salesy)
  • a case study of how you worked successfully with a client
  • an on-demand webinar (a recording of a past webinar)
  • a live webinar (due to the timeliness of this offer, pricing will be higher than average)

How does this program work?

You send us your asset and final e-mail creative (HTML, text and subject line - see requirements for US CAN SPAM Act compliance) and company logo (jpg, gif or png file). We set up a landing page hosted at the IT publisher's website with your logo, and start sending out the emails and making outbound telemarketing calls. You then receive leads each week via email in a spreadsheet.

How long will it take for me to generate my leads?

TIming will depend on the offer, since we can't always predict the conversion/takeup rate for lead generation. For a standard minimum lead program of say 40 leads at $75 per lead ($3,000 US), timing usually averages 2 or 3 weeks, but could extend to a month or more. Leads are sent to you not more frequently than once per week in a batch (Excel spreadsheet file).

Can I exclude remote email addresses from my leads?

No. We can not prevent subscribers from using remote (gmail, yahoo, hotmail etc.) e-mail addresses for the leads submitted through our form, although many still prefer to use their e-mail corporate accounts. The standard lead will include a mailing address and phone # anyway, so you have 2 other options to follow-up with them other than e-mail.

Why do some of the leads I received not exactly match what I was asking for?

Lead accuracy is not guaranteed, but we do our best to get leads to match as closely as possible to your ideal target criteria. This is due to the fact that we don't know the conversion (take-up) rate of leads for your offer and may have to adjust our marketing to generate more leads for you using various other channels. We will start by using emails that match your criteria, but once we exhaust those targeted emails, then we may have to broaden the scope of the audience (e.g. widen company size, job titles etc.) to meet your lead quota. We may also expand our marketing to telephone sales or even search marketing or social networking if required.

Can I change the email creative I send to you mid-way through the campaign?

Yes. We encourage you to send us as many creative versions, subject lines as you can so that we can test what works and what doesn't.

Will I get to see reponse reports from the e-mails you send out?

No. Since this is a performance-based program, it is up to us to manage the volume and frequency of emails sent out. The reporting which you get will be the actual leads sent to you each week.

What if you can't generate enough leads to fill my quota?

If we can't generate the agreed upon number of leads within an acceptable period of time, we will simply bill you (via credit, pro-rated from your prepayment) only for the leads you have received.
