3 Step Process For A Pay-per-click Search
Program:
1) Determine Keywords & Ad Copy
First, we will work with you to recommend 25 to 30 relevant search
terms based on your objectives. We do this by sending you a report
which outlines actual search traffic for related search terms
for your industry or product category which were generated from
leading search engines such as Google and Yahoo during a previous
month. This will allow you to determine the most relevant and
frequently searched terms which are most important for your business.
This report will also show you the average cost per click for
this set of search terms, so that you know how many unique clicks
or visitors your budget will afford (the minimum test campaign
is $1,000 US over 4 weeks).
We will also provide recommended ad copy for your search engine
listings, based on our experience with past search engine campaigns,
in order to best pre-qualify visitors to your website. You only
pay for unique clicks (not impressions) actually delivered to
your website after one of your search terms is typed into the
search engine and your ad listing is displayed. All participating
search engines have robust security measures in place which do
not allow multiple clicks from a single user.
2) Listing Submissions
Once we have received your approval on your group of
relevant search terms, their corresponding landing page URL's,
the average cost per click (CPC) amount and your agreed ad copy,
we will submit your listings to the top 8 search
engines which provide over 90% of all available search engine
traffic. Those sites will include; Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL, Lycos,
AltaVista, Earthlink, and Sympatico. Based on your budget, top
3 listings on page 1 of these search engines are guaranteed within
5 business days for approved search terms (search engine editors
may occasionally disapprove listings based on content or other
criteria).
3) Ongoing Optimization & Reporting
An initial search term activity report will be provided after
1 week of being live, which will outline unique clicks and CPC
rates for each approved search term and provide an opportunity
for any changes required to your campaign such as adding or deleting
search terms based on traffic and performance. Monthly reports
outlining pay-per-click activity and expenditures on a CPC basis
will then be provided on an ongoing basis.
