Biography

Robin Charlwood has over 35 years of engineering experience in the USA, Canada, the UK and internationally with major international consultants on hydro-electric and water resources projects, concrete dams and ancillary structures, focusing on engineering analysis and design, condition & safety assessment and development and implementation of rehabilitation and upgrades for plant life extension.

He is presently Chairman of the ICOLD Committee on Concrete Dams, and Director and Past -Vice-President of the US Society on Dams, member of the Canadian Dam Association.

He holds M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in civil engineering and structural mechanics from the University of British Columbia and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Washington and the Province of British Columbia and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering.
